Quinta da Côrte is one of the most innovative and renowned brands of Douro wines and dry wines as Port Wines.
Located 3 km from Pinhão, in a unique area classified as UNESCO heritage, this estate comprises 24 hectares of vineyards.
As parcelas, maioritariamente plantadas em socalcos e em patamares, estão preenchidas por uma grande diversidade de vinhas antigas.
Several native grape varieties are grown at Quinta da Côrte, the most emblematic being: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão. The soil with schistose characteristics gives the wines an attractive minerality and great elegance.
This estate was bought in 2012 by Philippe Austruy, who recognised its great potential. The vineyards of this property have subsequently undergone some reforms, starting to produce a Douro red wine - proof of the region’s excellence.
The richness of the old vineyards, the traditional production techniques and the concern with giving each cuvée a modern touch put Quinta da Côrte in a place of prestige in the panorama of Portuguese viticulture.
